The 15th China International Pet Show took place on 16-19 November 2011 in Hall 9.2-13.2. in Guangzhou China Import&Export Fair Pazhou Complex. CIPS offers an excellent platform for manufacturers and buyers to communicate face to face, to build upon and forge new business relationship with pet professionals from nearly 70 countries and areas in the world. ZOORF STOCKHOLM (22-23 October 2011)
Zoobranschens Riksförbund - Zoorf - is a trade association involving distributors, manufactures and retailers on the Swedish/Scandinavian market. Among many other things, Zoorf have a program for educating retailers in line with Swedish legalisation for trade with live stock. Zoorf also is a part of SPTU, or the Scandinavian Pet Trade Union, which is a federation of the leading pet trade associations in Scandinavia. Zoorf is also the organizer of ZoorfExpo, a regional Pet Accessory Trade Show focusing on professionals in Sweden and Scandinavia. We've been to the third edition of this show, which was taking place in Stockholm on the 22-23 of October 2011. Our products have been presented at our partners AQUARIATECHNIK and DOGMAN stands.

PET BIZ 2011, 30 September-2 October, Sofia
PET BIZ 2011 is the most important zoological event for the vigorously developing Balkan countries.
TROPICAL was again represented by our long-term partner – Niagara 2006, one of the leading distributors on the Bulgarian market. Three days of the fairs were filled with trade visits, thanks to which new clients had an opportunity to learn more about TROPICAL’s offer.
PET BIZ 2011 is a perfect business platform for developing valuable business relations, reaching even beyond the Balkans. It’s also a place to be if you wish to identify regional market trends and reach wide circle of aquarium fish enthusiasts and small pets’ lovers. Pet Biz 2011 is concentrated around all aspects of products for animals and represents this sector of industry with utmost professionalism – on the exhibition area of 12000m2 more than 5000 visitors had a chance to learn about the offer of 200 exhibitors from 12 countries.

AkterFest is a unique aquarium and terrarium event in Croatia. It is organized annually in various cites by AkterFest association. The money raised (ticket sale, gadgets, lotteries) is destined for charity – this year a Croatian orphanage was supported. Between 4-8th of October 2011 fair in Zagrzeb was attended by 15 000 of visitors, who could admire 86 terraria, 43 aquaria and 32 special tanks with fighting fish. There also took place an exhibition of children’s paintings presenting aquarium and terrarium related themes. Tropical company was represented by our distributor – BIOM AV d.o.o. (CROATIA).
Between 28th of September and 1st of October in Barcelona took place IBERZOO – an international zoological fair dedicated to experts and enthusiasts of pets. It was a unique opportunity to see various accessories and fashion for pets as well as get valuable information concerning their food and health. Useful tips were also offered to aquaria and terraria enthusiasts and those interested in the subject could take part in the conference on the economic situation in the zoological sector.
IBERZOO is a trade event, being under constant development to meet current business demands, participation in which gives a chance to present various products and services. On the exhibition area of 15000m2 one could also visit the stand of our distributor – Valdes & Valdes – presenting a wide variety of our products, which proved extremely popular among thousands of visitors.
In a separate pavilion the visitors could admire aquaria with fighting fish and take part in a show presenting how to start a new aquarium. It was organized by Aquarists’ Association of Barcelona, which we supported with advertising materials and samples of foods. We were flattered by a large number of clients who already knew our brand and those who wanted to try it for the first time.

NEW SAMPLES OF TROPICAL’S AQUARIUM FOODS
To prove that we keep putting all our efforts to meet the demands of our clients, we have prepared a special edition of nine, diversified samples of aquarium foods. They are complete foods, packed in metallised barrier foil, which ensures safety of the product , with images reflecting graphic designs of their original packings. You shall find them in good aquarium shops.

- CICHLID OMNIVORE SMALL PELLET - multi-ingredient food with astaxanthin and Spirulina algae for everyday feeding of young cichlids and smaller species of omnivorous cichlids.
- D-50 PLUS GRANULAT - colour-enhancing granulated food with high content of protein (50%) for everyday feeding of discus and other fish with high nutritional demands.
- MINI WAFERS MIX - multi-ingredient sinking wafers: green (Spirulina platensis algae and fibre to regulate digestive processes) and red (astaxanthin to enhance coloration and beta-glucan to improve immunity), for everyday feeding of omnivorous bottom feeding fish such as algae eaters, loaches, Corydoras and catfish as well as freshwater and marine crustaceans.
- SUPER SPIRULINA FORTE FLAKES i CHIPS - Super Spirulina Forte FLAKES is a vegetable flake food with high (36%) content of Spirulina platensis algae, for African cichlids and other fish, including marine ones, with high demand for plant material. Super Spirulina Forte CHIPS is recommended especially for omnivorous and herbivorous cichlids and marine fish with high nutritional demands.
- D-ALLIO PLUS GRANULAT - multi-ingredient granulated food with garlic (min. 30%), for discus and other fish with nutritional demands, including marine fish.
- KRILL FLAKE - multi-ingredient colour-enhancing food with high content of krill (40%), for everyday feeding of omnivorous and carnivorous fish, especially very fussy ones.
- CARNIVORE - high-protein sinking granules for carnivorous bottom feeding fish. High content of easily assimilable protein shall satisfy the needs of catfish, Potamotrygonidae, snakeheads, etc.
- SUPERVIT - multi-ingredient flake food, for everyday feeding of omnivorous aquarium fish. Contains eight types of flakes containing natural immune stimulator beta-glucan, astaxanthin, Kelp alga, Spirulina and crustaceans (including tasty krill).

For Tropical company aquaristics is not just an area of business, it is also a fascinating hobby. Not everybody may be ready to dedicate themselves to it, but they all can admire splendid species of fish in the zoos. These institutions are run for scientific purposes as well as pure entertainment. They also help preserve rare animal species. Expensive and tough work of zoos and usefulness of their performance deserve respect and support of donors. Tropical cooperates with a few zoological gardens on regular basis. We are particularly proud of cooperation with zoos in Wroclaw and Warsaw.
Our long-term cooperation with the Warsaw zoo mostly consists in providing food and aquarium preparations. We also meet the great challenge of feeding inhabitants of the shark tank. In a tank with a capacity of about 100 000 litres lives a sand tiger shark, which is the only specimen living in Poland. It weighs about 60-70 kg and is one of the star attractions of Warsaw zoo - both kids and adults treat it as a "must-see" spot. In spring and summer seasons it is visited by hundreds of animal lovers a day. Tropical has prepared for the visitors special leaflets about the sharks and the zoo. Apart from the shark, in the tank ecosystem there live about 100 other appropriately selected fish. They are fed only with Tropical products with high content of spirulina's, so they are healthy, calm, and as a humorous anecdote says, not afraid of sharks. Feeding takes place at fixed times, and is an additional attraction for visitors. In the nearest future the Warsaw Zoo and Tropical plan to broaden and strengthen their cooperation.
In spring and summer months Wroclaw Zoo is visited by 80,000 to 120,000 visitors per month. Aquaria presenting species from Australia and Oceania are the major attractions of aquarium department. The tank with a capacity of about 3500 litres sponsored by Tropical is inhabited by species such as queensland crayfish, pig-nosed turtle, banded rainbowfish, Boeseman's rainbowfish, turquoise rainbowfish, Parkinson's rainbowfish, red rainbowfish, lake Wanam rainbowfish - altogether more than 80 specimens.
The tank with rainbowfish is also home to lush flora, including orchids, ferns, philodendron and other plants. Tropical continuously takes care of delivery of specialized foods for aquarium fish and aquarium care products.
No other zoological institution combines business with pleasure as much as a zoo. Every day dozens of professionals work real hard so that visitors could admire well-groomed, healthy animals and enjoy the fun. A similar philosophy was adopted by Tropical at the very beginning of company's existence. Sponsorship and collaboration with zoos is a nice and honourable opportunity to contribute to popularisation of aquaristics and preservation of particularly valuable and unique species.
